Millington Quilt Club Meeting 11/11

We had a lot of Show and Tell at our club meeting on Wednesday. Below Nancy is showing us a beautiful black and white quilted jacket she made.



This is a wall hanging Mary made.



This is Marge with a fall quilt she made and quilted.



Marge made her purse from fabric from her late mother's dress. Marge is holding a photo of her mother wearing the dress.



Jan made a variety of hot pads for our church fund raiser after Thanksgiving. They all sold before the meeting ended! Jan also showed us a purse she made but I didn't get a photo. Jan is also a talented knitter, she knitted the sweater she is wearing.

Mary Lou made and quilted this bargello quilt.

In this photo, Mary Lou is show us a vest she made and quilted. Mary Lou has a huge, beautiful, country yard. She made the orange vest so that hunters would not mistake her for a deer.

Sydney is showing us a cowboy boot Christmas stocking she made for her grandson who is a policeman in Texas.

She also made this shawl with pockets after buy one on QVC to use as a pattern.

This is one of the many hats Sydney knit for the local Toys For Tots at Christmas.

Carolyn started this quilt in 1964. Sometimes it takes a while to finish a project.

As you will see, that doesn't mean Carolyn hasn't been busy. She made the following wall hanging with a white border.

She also made it with a green border.

Carolyn also made the following two Row by Row quilts.

She made the following wall hanging from scraps.

Carolyn made this quilt from squares the club members had exchanged in the past.

Carolyn had one more quilt for Show and Tell. She made it from Moda squares. She certainly has been busy!!!!

Viola is asking the club members' opinion for a border on the log cabin quilt she made. Members seemed to feel the striped fabric would make a better binding rather than a border.

Viola also made a crazy quilt Christmas stocking.

Like Carolyn, Peggy below has been very busy. She completed her Halloween wall hanging since our last meeting.

Last Thursday, Peggy was in the Lenore Crawford class. She has pieced 4 wall hanging in less than a week!!!! First, the yellow cone flower.

Peggy also completed the dogwood blossoms.

Peggy made the yellow poppies.

Peggy also made the yellow poppies using a different background fabric. Very impressive, most of us who took the class put our unfinished class project away until after Christmas.

Jan made this bright green quilt. I always love Jan's happy color choices.

Jan also made this Take Five quilt.

My friend Linda helped me by taking notes while I took photos. I'm quite forgetful and without her notes would only be able to post photos. A big "Thank You" to Linda.
