Yesterday my friend, Dena invited some quilting friends to her home for tea and conversation. She offered us a variety of specialty teas and served homemade muffins, cookies and candy. We all had a great time visiting.
On her way home from Dena's, Linda stopped by for a few minutes so that we could exchange Christmas presents. Linda gave me Charming Tails, "A Blossoming Friendship". She knows I love Charming Tails and this one is so appropriate. Linda and I have been best friends for over 40 years. Linda also brought a treat for our birds which I will post when we put it out for them.
I made Linda a Christmas wall hanging for her kitchen. She has decorated her kitchen and dining room using a bird house theme.
I embellished the wall hanging with buttons and a rickrack wreath. I used some iridescent fabric over white on white fabric for the snow. I was tempted to add small rhinestones in the sky for snow but I thought that might be too glitzy.
It's so nice to be able to share the holidays with great friends.

The wall hanging will be shown at Show'n Tell at the January quilt meeting. I love it!
That is really really cute. It is so important to have friends. What would we do without them?
